Border Delivery (Import) Service and New Export Service Shipping Address: Your Name C/O Alex Peterson 1220 Matamoros Street, Suite #1847 Laredo, Texas 78040 1) The handling charge/package is $18.5 dollars, which is approx. $240 pesos right now. 2) The cutoff date for all packages to arrive to the above address is Weds., Jan. 21st. . Packages that arrive after this date will sit at the border for an indefinite amount of time until I do another border run. 3) If you decide to order, youll need to email me first to confirm your order and its contents. 4) All packages will be opened at the border and consolidated. Therefore, your items wont arrive to Lakeside in their original packaging. 5) At this time, large items cant be received, due to space limitations. 6) People who are ordering whom I dont know previously will have to email me their full names, address at Lakeside, phone #(s), etc., along with their desired order, which will allow me to pre-approve their order. 7) I wont transport large numbers of the same item. A special importation permit is needed for this type of order because its considered Commercial Merchandise. 8) I wont transport Prescriptions. 9) All efforts will be made so that none of the merchandise will pay the 16% VAT(Customs) tax. However, as the saying goes, one should always plan for the best, but prepare for the worst. If, for some exceptional reason, someones merchandise is inspected by Mexican govt officials and ruled that it must pay the 16% tax, then Id have to pay the tax out of my own pocket and would expect reimbursement from the client at the time I delivered their products at Lakeside. Til now, no items Ive imported in the past have ever been taxed, but of course there always could be a first time. 10) Each client should track his own or order to make sure that all boxes arrive by January 21st. It would be helpful if each client emailed me(for my records) the tracking numbers and courier used(UPS, Fedex, etc.) for each box sent to the border. New Export Service Ive also decided to offer an export service from Lakeside and charging as follows: 1) Box=$10 dollars* 2) Letter(s) = 3 dollars* *These prices are in addition to what UPS, USPS, Fedex charges for the freight amount from Laredo to the final destination in the US.
