MEGA extra hours put in working on a major client networks upgrade, and also at the same time, integration of several upgrades to the Kinuso Hotels network for Boreal Wireless Clients (ISP). Here are some of the changes for our clients: - Improved Network Security and Intrusion Protection - Each ISP client is to be assigned their OWN public IP address. - Decreased latency (lag) response times, down to 17ms at our gateway. - Guaranteed bandwidth minimums (no more lagging during busy times) - Dedicated connectivity for PlayStation, Xbox Canada, Nintendo game consoles. - Improvements to streaming of Netflix, shomi, CraveTV, YouTube, Vimeo - Per Client Dedicated Bandwidth guarantees through network policies. Improved Download & Upload Speeds for Residential & Corporate Clients: - Residential Clients; Downloading of 1Mbps guarantee with up to 5Mbps bursting, and uploading with 1Mbps guarantee with 2Mbps bursting. PLUS ==>> We are also in the process of migrating from general WIFI (2.4Ghz) radios, to using new 5Ghz radios that can handle up to 1.7Gbps speeds over the next few weeks. This upgrade to our network will help with clients that are in location with environmental interference effecting their 2.4Ghz connectivity - Overall; improved connectivity at faster speeds with quicker response times! Our objective of these upgrades; to assure Boreal Wireless / Kinuso Hotel clients have guaranteed bandwidth regardless of the time of day (no prime time lagging during busy network hours); and to increase the bandwidth available to each client with the growing use of streaming video, online gaming, and other bandwidth intensive activities online. Most of these upgrades have now been implemented, the last few ISP clients will be bumped over to the upgraded network connection sometime over this weekend. If you are an ISP client of Kinuso Hotel / Boreal Wireless and you are experiencing connectivity issues related to a specific site or online service with all these ugprades taking place; Please let us now, as the new network upgrades are much stricter, and we may have to turn on certain ports that are currently blocked for security reasons for some unique application to access your location. Weve added porting for the most common services used, but there are so many online services, it is difficult to configure for all of them off-the-cuff.
