Borgers Results August 16. Borgers PR Media Contact Bob Snyder [email protected] Bettler Back In Victory Lane. Amanda Conroy First 2014 Borgers Win. You could compare it to the Phoenix rising from the ashes the way George VanVarick resurrected the badly bent 43 from a violent crash at Borgers two weeks ago. Kurt Bettler who took one of the hardest hits ever at Borgers Speedway brought the car to victory lane on this cool August evening. It was Bettler, Larry Hoagland and Mark Yoder to turn one in Hoosier Racing tires TQ/Asphalt 600 Sprints. Bettler maintained the lead as Hoagland and Yoder put the pressure on throughout the entire race. Hoagland got underneath Bettler numerous times but did not have enough to make it three wins in a row. With two laps to go Yoder made the pass on Hoagland but did not have enough for Bettler. Bettler cruised to victory lane followed by Yoder, Hoagland, Jordan Tittle, Lanson Fornoro, and Tony Colandro. A perfect day for Amanda Conroy as she won her heat and feature event in the AllStar Slingshots. Conroy led the charge to turn one followed by Mike Moyer and Ryan Lacoe in the Taylor Eccles number twelve. Coming out of turn four lap one Lacoe moved to second spot and the chase was on. Lap after lap Lacoe was glued to Conroy’s rear bumper but could not squeeze enough speed out of the black number 12 to take the win. Chris Kurtz finished third followed by Jim Laubach, and Mike Moyer.
