Boris has had his mammary tumor removed yesterday and I can most likely pick him up tomorrow. I researched mammary cancer in cats and found: Cats with tumors larger than 3 cm in diameter have a median survival time of 4 to 6 months; cats with tumors 2 to 3 cm in diameter have a median survival time of about 2 years, and cats with tumors less than a 2 cm in diameter have a median survival time of over 3 years. Boris tumor was quite large, well over 3cm :( . Well, he will be well taken care of until the bridge calls his name. Shame on those who tossed him like an old toy! He is extremely sweet and loving, not a feral at all, yet someone dumped him. Most likely because he was an unneutered male with all the unwanted male behaviors. All they had to do was neuter him and they would have had this sweetheart shadow their every move, answer their every request for a kiss and longing for a hug, he is THAT nice of a boy!
