Born Not Somewhere Under the shade of the scorching sun Abandoned Neglected Ruthlessly aborted, dumped, Murdered with impunity Lies my flesh and blood A body carrying my ancestors genes Lifeless, in the blistering sun A life unlived Not a single breath enhaled Not a step taken Not a nerve shaken Power of a hug unfelt, not a kiss expirienced A cruel world unseen. But already feeling the harsh antagonism directed towards a black body. Waiting for Love, My unborn child is no more It never was But a foetus floating through amniotic fluid in your womb. As dusk draws near And pregnant clouds gradually gather I wonder, What emotion would my heart hold knowing I was killed by my own mother? This story could have had a different ending, maybe a pilot, a physicist, or a doctor Ending with a dignified burial instead of a dumpster. Our child sleeps tonight in the depths of the unknown. A soul that could have been loved A creature that could have exhibited Strength, Will, Courage, Emotion and Character But its Life impromptly terminated
