Born and raised in the Philippines, Roy Cruz performs all over town with his heavily Filipino accented comedy. Aside from comedy he is also a published essayist, with works appearing in Salon and the in the book Out on the Edge: Americas Rebel Comics. He will be reprising the hit show Streep Tease: An Evening of Meryl Streep Monologues performed by an all male-cast this September, its a show that he created in tribute to Meryl Streep after he memorized the monologue about Cerulean in the movie “The Devil Wears Prada.”
