Born right before the start of Non Cooperation Movement on 2nd February 1915, Khushwant Singh the father of Modern Indian Journalism departs today. He has been an inspiration for a lot of people...famous for his humor and his adjacent love of poetry. Right from a train to Pakistan to his last novel The Good, the Bad and the Ridiculous. He has written everything he saw and felt in life. His witty comparison of India with the western countries or of early delhi to that of today in khushwantnama amused as well as touched the hearts of million of people. “Thats Delhi. When life gets too much for you all you need to do is to spend an hour at Nigambodh Ghat,watch the dead being put to flames and hear their kin wail for them. Then come home and down a couple of pegs of whisky. In Delhi, death and drink make life worth living,” ― Khushwant Singh, Delhi One thing which was always there in his novels was the jokes and poetry to amuse people and bring a smile on their faces. Today he departed at a age of 99 in his Delhi residence, His death is condoled by many eminent personalities of the Country, we shall always keep a space in our heart for this great personality, and depart his sole with a smile on our faces and a prayer asking God to create more such people.
