Born to rule or Fit to Rule : Avatara Uvacha Part 2 VISHNU - TopicsExpress

Born to rule or Fit to Rule : Avatara Uvacha Part 2 VISHNU comes! Tanana tana na na VISHNU!!! Vishnu came in seven human avatars to fix the dead decaying political order. As Prithu he came as successor to supposedly “Evil King” Vena, Prithu Vainya established a Gold standard of what a King does and how he rules. Hence the Bhu or earth is named Prithvi after him. Vishnu came as human Dattatreya to educate and advise the concept of Sarvabhauma or Universal Sovereign and how such an emperor behaves. His student was Kartavirya Arjuna who rose in status to that role. He also embodied the concept Power corrupts, Absolute power corrupts absolutely. There is some discrepancy regarding the nature of Kartavirya Arjuna’s actual rule or whether it was despotic or not. Kartavirya Arjuna ruled to ripe old age and was killed by the Son of the murderer of his daughter like sister-in-law who was executed by him for that crime. Jamadagni was revived and died three or four times. So there is lot of confusion on the issue. Whatever the back story is. Main story is that Parasurama used this as an excuse to do some house cleaning. In Eighteen major and three minor battles or campaigns, he destroyed the Evil Kshatriyas as well as Brahmins. He axed the ruling classes who had diverged from the exceptional and whether they be fallen Kshatriyas, Sudras, Kshatriyas and even if they were Brahmins, he basically brought the wrath of lord to them. As Ezekiel paraphrased: The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brothers keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you. AND He did. Parasurama was no blind killer. He only exterminated the unrighteous, the selfish, the tyrannical and sheltered the Kshatriyas who were following the Rajadharma and those who cared for their subjects. Anga kings were most guilty, Panchalas the least. Even 5 sons of Kartavirya Arjuna were spared of the 100 for their righteous behavior. Bhima could only find One. Parasurama then handed the earth to new establishment headed by Kasyapa. Dattatreya had another role tto, of Bapu!. His children succeeded to vacant Surya, Chandra, Mithila et all thrones and thus formed the new Kshatriya aristocracy. Then Vishnu came as Rama to strengthen and set a new gold standard for ideal king and ideal ruler. Rama was not the eldest son of his father, the four brothers were born within hours of each other. Rama was born of eldest wife whose father was subsidiary to Ayodhaya, Lakshmana and Satrughana were born of a minister’s sister and Bharata was born of a princess of equal stature, the horse lords kingdom of Kekaya. Both Rama and Bharata had equal rights if we follow the later rules of primogeniture. They did not follow primogeniture in those days! If they did, the son-in-law Rishyasringa of Dasratha would have equal chance. There was no difference between daughter and son in Treta Yuga. That is a Kali yuga artifice. It was Rishyasringa who conducted the Yagna for his father-in-law Dasaratha. Following his father Vibhandaka, he forfeited the pleasures of palaces for stark simplicity of severe self-discipline. Both Rama and Bharata were capable of being great rulers, Rama was just more so. Rama was selected not because he was eldest son of his father; he was the most capable son of his father. Early death of his grandmother Indumati, meant that Aja did not have more sons hence Rama did not have any cousins to content against. Aja heartbroken at calamitous death of his wife also left the kingdom at young age in Dasaratha’s hands anointing him “best of his generation of Raghavas”. Then Vishnu came as Vyas and soon after as Krishna to again clean out the dead decaying immoral order of Kshatriyas and literally churning the milk of Kshatriya mothers to separate the cream from the curdled debauched combatants. Krishna was a gvala, a cowherd, a shepherd, there was no coincidence in his former occupation. And there is no coincidence that next set of Slokas deal with the bye products of Cowherd’s profession. Did not Ezekiel thunder in Bible: The path of the righteous man (Dharma) is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. (The cowherd lifting the Govardhan and shepherding the folk.) For he is truly his brothers keeper and the finder of lost children. (Varuna and story of lost children) And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers (Paramanakoti and Lakshagraha). And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you!! (Sab Janme ek beej se, sabki maati ek Man mein duvidha par gayi, ho gaye rup anek!!) (एकवर्णं यथा दुग्धं भिन्नवर्णासु धेनुषु | तथैव धर्मवैचित्र्यं तज्ञल्तवमेकं परं स्मॄतम् || महाभारत The cows of different colors produce milk of one color, the principle taught by different religions is one.) Vishnu came as avatars to do literally doodh ka doosh and Paani ka Paani! हंस: श्वेतो बक: श्वेतो को भेदो बकहंसयो: | नीरक्षीरविवेके तु हंस: हंसो बको बक: || It is said that, if one dilutes milk with water, and gives to swan, swan is able to extract milk and drink it. (dudh ka dudh pani ka pani) Hansa is also a name used to worship Vishnu, you dont need to wonder why. Swan is white, crane is (also) white. Then, what is the difference between crane and swan? When it comes to extracting milk from a mixture, crane does not have this ability. External appearance, birth, status in society does not make a person great, only his qualities do so. It also explains that wise people precisely know what is useful and what should be discarded. ज्येष्ठत्वं जन्मना नैव गुणैर्ज्येष्ठत्वमुच्यते | गुणात् गुरुत्वमायाति दुग्धं दधि घॄतं क्रमात् || Greatness is not merely by birth or being eldest, greatness is decided by qualities (of a person). Just as milk becomes curd and then Ghee. Rama was King. Yudhishthara was King. Not because they were eldest. They were most capable to take that role. And of course, let us finish this section as another Cow Sloka: सर्वोपनिषदो गाव: दोग्धा गोपालनंदन: | पार्थो वत्स: सुधी: भोक्ता दुग्धं गीतामॄतं महत् || All Upanishads are (like) cows, Gopalnandana is their keeper. Intelligent Partha (Arjun) is the calf who enjoys the milk and splendid GeetA AmRit is the milk of these cows. And you wonder why we worship cows! Part III The Puru lineage succession
