Borrowed from The Word In Season (words in { } are mine) Job 40:6 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind. Theophany. In Greek, the word is Theophanos or showing of God. Theophany: a revelation of the divine {weve surely seen that this week}, an encounter with the almighty, six-winged seraphs in the temple, a fullness of fish in the nets, Theophany; a swarming of stars in the universe, the swirling of vapor as it ascends off Lake Michigan at five below zero while driving to church. {for our dear sister Christy Austin the grand ocean}. Theophany: a holy moment charging our lives with transcendence. Theophany: a time when we are shaken to our foundation with the grandiose largeness of God. Theophany: a quadruple-shot extra-large latte with heavy cream and minty sprinkles ina terra-cotta mug with a chocolate coverd bean on top {for me a warm cozy bed and a pounding hot shower on my aching joints and muscles}. Theophany: seeing God, feeling God. experiencing God, knowing God. Theophany: the hem of Gods garment fills a room. THEOPHANY. I would live to hear your Theophany today. Please share. Hugs and prayers to all of you!
