Bosch Customer Service: If you are like me you cringe whenever you buy something new and end up having to call for warranty service. Well, thats what happen with my oven. I installed it, turned it on and it gave an error code. Great! Brand new oven and it has a problem. I reached out to the company that I purchased it from.... as expected they said call for warranty service. To be fair, they also said (in my words) if they give you any crap put them on the phone with me and Ill handle it. So, I felt like they had my back. So I called Bosch and as you expect the phone rep couldnt resolve it and said they would send a tech out to look at it. I figured I was going to get the usual local Joe subcontractor that works on these machines once a year. Well, I was surprised that the tech was an employee of Bosch. He only works on Bosch (and their sister company) machines. OK, thats fairly impressive. So, of course he gets the same results I did... and he pulls the oven out of the wall. That was no small feat in itself. He takes the back off... tests this and that. Then a new and different error shows on the panel. Im thinking oh crap... itll be another 2 weeks while they order parts. He says hang on Im not sure what that code is let me call it in... he goes out to his truck and in 5min comes back with a meter. He tests the power coming out of the wall. Looks closer and says one of your power leads have come loose. What does he do? He fixes it! Of course now Im thinking, well now Im going to get a bill, right? I mean it is my fault. Nope, instead he gives me a lesson on how to run the oven. Gives me a free sample of aluminum cleaner and says this stuff works great, if you want it you will have to buy it from us online. But, if you go to Home Depot you can buy nearly the same stuff for a lot less. Well, enjoy your oven call us if you have any other problems... Then gives me a receipt showing amount due: $0.00. You dont get companies that stand behind their products like this one does that often any longer. But just dang... how many companies would have resolved a wiring problem with YOUR house... and not charge you for it? Color me impressed. Next time around... Its Bosch again for sure.
