Bose is suing Apple’s Beats over noise-cancellation patents !!! BOSE CORPORATION is suing Beats Electronics over patents related to noise-cancellation technology, two months after Dr Dres firm was picked up by Apple in a $3bn deal. Bose claims that Beats infringes 50 years of research and development of noise-cancellation technology, and has asserted five specific patents in its complaint against the headphone maker. The patents include 6,717,537 - Method and apparatus for minimizing latency in digital signal processing systems, 8,054,992 - High frequency compensating, 8,073,150 - Dynamically configurable ANR signal processing topology, 8,073,151 - Dynamically configurable ANR filter block topology, and 8,345,888 - Digital high frequency phase compensation. Bose also claims that the companys Beats Studio and Studio Wireless headphones specifically violate its protected technologies.
