Boss Health and you - The maximum trophies available from a raid are determined by the raids total health and a very simple relationship: 1000 health = 1 trophy. So a non-enraged raid with 30,000,000 health will give around 30,000 trophies, the differences seen due to the rounding of damage done against the boss. - The total health of a given raid is determined by the raid difficulty and the total number of raids of *any* difficulty completed that event (along with any modifiers such as being enraged). Not counting the inconsistent and apparently random application of relatively small modifiers, Hard Raids have a base health of 6,000,000, and Extreme Raids have a base health of 30,000,000. Each additional raid increases the base health by 3,000,000 for Hard, and 15,000,000 for Extreme. They do sometimes play with these numbers from event to event, but, in general, these are the numbers used over the past few months. So if you choose to do raid number six at Extreme difficulty, its going to have a minimum health of 105 million (30 million starting health + (6 - 1)*(15 million increment)). It doesnt matter if you did 5 Extreme raids or 5 Easy raids before doing raid #6 at Extreme difficulty, its still going to have a fixed minimum health of ~105 million because only the number of raids completed so far, not their difficulties matter. The different difficulties are NOT independent of one another. ------ The above explains our approach and why we do things the way we do: We start on the hardest difficulty we can, Extreme, and we track our performance against the raids to make reasonably accurate predictions about our maximum damage capabilities against that events raid. When the minimum boss health for the next raid exceeds our maximum predicted damage capacity, we drop to Hard. Thats all there is to it.
