Boston College and the American Red Cross will host a series of special blood drives in commemoration of The Boston Marathon bombings on April 22 – April 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Conte Forum. MBTA Transit Police Officer Dic Donohue, who was shot in Watertown in the 2013 gun battle with the accused marathon bombing suspects, will attend the blood drive on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Officer Donohue, who needed 46 blood products last year, is standing strong today, thanks to the generosity of blood donors.
