Boston Update- more awesome news! Just talked to the nurse and the team had just finished am rounds... Since decreasing his dextrose dosage in PD- Boston started peeing even more through the night. So, they feel strongly that its time to turn off dialysis and give him a little boost with diuretics and see what he can do. Nephrology will come by later and give their input so we shall see. So- thats the plan for today! While they are doing that- they will stop breathing trials just so that we dont go crazy on him all at once. Hes clearly showing he can breathe independently. He did 3 successful trials yesterday and each were an hour. Another piece of funny news- he tried to self extubate at 3 am 😳 guess he figures if they wont--- he will. Poor guy already has my well, Ill just do it myself attitude. So, now his fiesty arms are slightly restrained lol 👍 God is good yall. Really really good! 🌟
