Boston Youth Table Tennis Program Showcase Saturday, January 30, 2015 10am - 2pm We want to invite you to join us in our 2nd Annual Table Tennis Showcase. This event is FREE...FREE...FREE so bring your whole family. Save Our Streets - Boston in collaboration with BCYF (Boston Center for Youth & Families) currently have a table tennis program running at 2 community centers in Boston with plans of expanding to 4 in the near future. We currently have active programs at the Tobin Community Center in Roxbury every Wednesday from 6-8p and Saturday from 12-2p and the Menino Community Center in Roslindale on Wednesdays from 4-6p. 1481 Tremont St. Roxbury, MA 02120 (2 Blocks away from Orange line - Roxbury Crossing stop) The purpose of our program is to train youth on how to play table tennis on a competitive level. This is a great activity to help keep our youth active, improve agility, improve hand-eye co-ordination, work with a team and have fun. We want to expose the youth to something different. Rather than just playing basketball and football all the time, lets try something different. So far all the kids in the program love it and continue to come every week. This showcase is a chance for you to find out about our program, meet the coaches and people involved. The day will begin with a lot of activities to give participants an understanding of what our program entails. Youth will get ti run some drills to give them a taste of our program. In the end they will also get a chance to hit some with the pros. All participants will be required to register.
