Both Wendy and I took some time off this week. Ive been camping on the Isle of Purbeck, which is not only beautiful but has fabulous local produce and lots of great pubs and cafes to enjoy it in. My favourite foodie find of the trip was Chococo Chocolates in Swanage- completely delicious chocolates bursting with fresh fruit, Dorset honey and other loveliness. I am currently contemplating how to translate the flavours of their chocolate ganache with lavender scented apple jelly into a cake! Hmmm... However, just in case you think I have spent the whole time staggering from one eating establishment to another I did do a little cooking of my own- here are some fresh-from-the-sea mackerel stuffed with herbs from the Dorset cliffs, waiting to be barbequed with locally grown aubergines and courgettes. Plus, or course, giant marshmallows! Well, you cant not, can you? Happy Bank Holiday!
