Both deep science and deep Buddhism suffer the error of sensation-narrative/existence dualism (Xd). In both cases true reality, namely sensation-narrative, which in common understanding is known as what we experience, stands minimized as subjective or even outright illusion relative to the real reality, existence as ultimate universe or dharma. No matter how hard the rationalization is that we ought to try to do good, it is impossible to parse the inherent contradiction of error Xd, as is evident in the hopeless idealism of Jesuit casuistry. The truth is that everything, including us, is sensation narrative—which cannot act. Therefore the error of Xd is the error that we can act, and it is only exacerbated with mistaken sophistication by the dismal wisdom known as doing good.
