Both the Turks and Israel are backing Al Nusra now (which is Al Qaedas contingent in Syria). Israel provides reconnaissance for Al Nusra in Qalamoun as a means to undermine Hezbollah. It was the Yanks who transferred TOW anti-tank missiles to Al Nusra, which is officially a member of Al Qaeda. First they send the stuff to vetted Harakat Al Hazm, which is (or was) a wimpy pushover outfit. If Al Nusra had walked up and said boo to Al Hazm, it would have collected the TOW missiles without even taking the safety off its guns. But Jamal Maarouf gets his thieving hands on them first, probably to sell them. Thats when Al Nusra moves in and hits the jackpot, again with hardly a shot fired, because Jamal Maarouf wont fight if there is actually a chance of him getting killed. Nusra had the attacked planned for months, ergo the Yanks knew about it through Turkish intelligence, and Turkish intelligence told Al Nusra, theres some TOWs in the pipeline, wait for it. You dont believe the Turks work with Al Nusra? Then you havent seen the video of Al Nusra tanks driving down a restricted Turkish military road into Syrias Latakia province. Or the video of the Turkmen terrorist leader Haytham Topalca, who works for Hakan Fidan and the Turkish military, celebrating victory on Hill 45 with the Al Nusra commander. And what happened when Al Nusra got the TOWs? It immediately took two strategic Syrian bases on the Homs-Aleppo road, cutting the city and its long-suffering inhabitants off once more from Damascus. Thats how the CIA uses the Turks to get Al Qaeda to do its dirty work. Thats why Washington still wont read Tayyip the riot act.
