Bought a wireless speaker on Amazon and the item that arrived was - TopicsExpress

Bought a wireless speaker on Amazon and the item that arrived was the wired version. I asked Amazon for an exchange. Their response was Wed normally send out a replacement order. However, Ive checked the order and see that it was placed with Brand Hut, a seller on our site and unfortunately we cannot replace it. An email I received from Brand Hut when I placed the order asked me to contact them before leaving negative feedback if there were any problems, so I did. Their response was Our products are being handled and shipped directly from Amazons warehouse. With thousands of items to ship everyday they do mistake from time to time. Unfortunately the only option they can offer is a return. Amazon will give me $1 coupon toward digital content just for selecting cheap shipping, but they cant manage to do so when they screw up an order. They claim their hands are tied because Brand Hut is the seller. Brand Hut doesnt want bad feedback but has nothing whatsoever to offer in return for that consideration, not even a coupon to induce the shopper into giving them another try. They claim their hands are tied because Amazon does the fulfillment. Neither feels that shipping the wrong item to a customer warrants even a token gesture such as a small coupon. Accurate order processing and fulfillment is *the* core competency of a mail order retail business. I cant help but wonder how badly they have to screw up before they chisel a $1 coupon free from the deep freeze and award it to their mutual customer. Perhaps if your item arrived filled with a nest of spiders that hatched en route?
