Bowls Scotland wish to record their anger and disappointment at the decision taken by the BBC to take the Lawn Bowls Gold Medal match involving Scotland and Malaysia off air (BBC3) in favour of a preliminary group stage Hockey match involving England and Australia as the game drew to a close. Bowls as a sport gets very little air time other than during major championships such as the Commonwealth Games and to deny the bowling public of Scotland and the Commonwealth their moment of glory is a decision that requires investigation, clarification and justification.
