Boxing Referee and Judges Course By LUKE LALU A two day Referees and Judges course for the upcoming Boxing referees and judges in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville began today and will end tomorrow. The course is arranged by the North Bougainville Amateur Boxing Association in which the National Boxing Referees and Judges Body of Papua New Guinea will be facilitating. Chairman of the National Boxing Referees and Judges, Joe Efi, Papua New Guinea National Boxing Tournament Director and Selector, Dick Larry and the National Boxing Coach, Joe Aufa arrived today in the region to officiate the two-day course. Coordinator of Boxing in North Bougainville, Ernest Lacey says, the course will now certify the upcoming referees and judges in the region as they have not yet been certified but have experience. Mr. Lacey says it is long overdue that such course is held for the referees and judges to be up to date with the changes happening in Boxing. He further revealed that later this week on Saturday, a boxing tournament will be held at Hutjena Secondary School Hall for the referees and judges practical purposes.
