Boxing day storm/27th update. Good evening, The latest model output continues to plot a very potent low pressure system for boxing day and the 27th. There are some changes on this run which has Scotland, Northern England and Eastern coastal counties seeing the strongest winds (with gusts in excess of 75mph) and gale force winds affecting many other parts of the UK. It is also showing a risk of blizzard conditions and spells of snow for some. This is something we continue to monitor closely during the build up to Christmas. There is still time for downgrades, although it is now looking increasingly likely that a significant spell of weather is on the way. As mentioned above well continue to keep you all updated.
