Boys Ranch Alumni Forum this is just my saying this, it is not - TopicsExpress

Boys Ranch Alumni Forum this is just my saying this, it is not according to the administrator of this forum or BR. Just to explain what a Forum is. A named forum is a place to discuss things. Usually a niche forum like this one is a forum about a certain topic, in this case about Boys Ranch and the Alumni. It is open and public meaning it is open to anyone to join which my guess means ta add staff and current residents. I am a member of quite a few groups similar to this one but geared toward different subjects, ie Motorcycles, cast iron cooking etc.. In my group that I run as well as most all others, off topic discussion is frowned upon. this mean people dont generally like political posts being made in a biker forum or Pictures of Motorcycles being posted in Cast Iron Cooking forums. In that same vein, this being a forum about Ex Ranchers the topics in here logically would be geared toward Boys Ranch and teh people that have lived there and our lives. I can see people talking about what they do now after graduating and maybe even doing a bit of networking for their business. Outright advertising though for a business is not cool.. people dont appreciate it. Same goes with posting controversial posts that are meant to get a rise out of people. These are the types of posts though that are left to a moderator to decide if they fit the group. This is why a group like this needs to be moderated by someone who is in the forum regularly. While this posts is not about BR specifically it is meant to be an informative posts to explain forum decorum..
