Bradfordville Blues Club says: JW Jones comes in from the cold climes of Canada on Friday, January 23rd at 9:00 pm to celebrate the release of their new CD Belmont Boulevard. The bands past BBC shows were nothing short of phenomenal. Truly amazing with the band trading off all instruments, culminating in three simultaneously playing the same guitar. Incredible musicianship and entertainers. This is one of Canadas hottest blues bands, having garnered numerous Maple Blues Award nominations (the Canadian equivalent of the Blues Music awards) as well as many other accolades and awards. Indeed, JW is again nominated for the Recording of the Year (Belmont Boulevard) and Guitar Player of the Year Awards for 2015. The band is led by JW Jones, an outstanding guitarist, singer and songwriter whose style includes west coast jump blues and swing, Texas honky-tonk, and straight ahead electric Chicago blues. JWs play is clean and crisp--no wasted notes, blazing speed or fret shredding--with a fat tone reminiscent of Sean Carney and soulful vocals that Gary Primich would be proud of. JWs rhythm sections consists of Jamie Holmes on drums and the heavy grooves of Laura Greenberg on bass. JW and the band continue to tour all over the world (19 countries and 4 continents) showing good judgment in heading to Florida in January.
