Bradie Carpenter funeral arrangements: Visitation: Saturday, June 15, 6:00-8:00pm Funeral: Sunday, June 16, 2:00pm Carter Funeral Home 143 Church Street Ellerbe, NC 28338 Bradie Lee Carpenter, 79, of Ellerbe, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at his home. Mr. Carpenter was born June 20, 1933 in Richmond County, a son of the late Paul and Vadie Fulp Carpenter. He had served his country in the United States Army and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon. A carpenter by trade, Bradie had retired from the Richmond County School System maintenance department. His beloved wife of 59 years, Ruby Goins, preceded him in death. Surviving are his son Jeff Carpenter and wife Angie of Candor; daughter Leeann Carpenter and companion Leslie Collins of Wilmington; grandchildren, Kristy Barnes of Candor, Kevin Carpenter and wife Amber of Candor; great-grandchild, Kolten Carpenter of Candor and his sister, Hazel Seter of Granite Falls. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Sunday in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Ellerbe with Rev. Greg Arnold officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Richmond County/Anson County Hospice, 1119 N.
