Brain Factor Many are called I have had several instances throughout my life when God placed someone in my path to lead me to Christ. Each time, I agreed to recite the “sinner’s prayer,” with them, but it wasn’t until 2008 when I was truly at a place where my heart was actually sincere. It was that moment that I had my true conversion and I knew that God, indeed, changed my life and I experienced my rebirth into the kingdom of God. Ever since then I have been fascinated by some people whom can perceive God and others cannot. Matthew 20:15-17; 15 is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own things? Or is your eye evil because I am good?’ 16 So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chose He knew me before there was a me God is not limited by space or time. He is everywhere at all times He was present in the time Cain and Able were born as well as being present when the last child is born in the distant future, all at the same time. I look at it this way; when God decided to create us, He had a plan; He looked down the corridor of time and asked; “who will say yes to my Son’s sacrifice?” He saw all those who raised their hands in an affirmative response-from the first, to the last, all at the same time. Romans 8:29; for whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. The sheep learn because of the goats I’ve always been fascinated as to why (even though I know the answer) some people, whether they profess to be an atheist, or are just for the moment, a non-believer, why they can’t see, what is to me, so obvious. Matthew 13:30; Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” God, in His infinite wisdom, deliberately created believers and non-believers, to live side-by-side. A believer’s life is a time of conditioning. We are blessed with the peace of God that Jesus’ sacrifice afforded us, the Holy Spirit, but also, we are conditioned by the many hardships that are designed by God to make us stronger and wiser. God is Lord over His creation I recently watched a film by a scientist Dr. Persinger-telegraph.co.uk/culture/books/10914137/What-God-does-to-your-brain.html. This article and film opens the door to the possibility that a believer’s brain and that of non-believers are wired differently and how by manipulating small electrical charges through the temporal lobe can stimulate a “God experience.” Now, the secular arena would probably say that this is proof that there is no God and that believers are only experiencing a “God experience,” because of a misfiring in our brains. But I suggest to you that this very well proves God’s existence and this experiment only proves to show us how God separated the wheat from the tares. God is the author of logic I know that Calvary; Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, is the only thing that is important and that, that act is the Gospel, but God gave me a curiosity of trying to understand more of how He, being a spirit, interfaces with His physical creation. I believe when God created matter and the physical world as we know it, He did so because being God, He was able to interact with His creation as He chose to create it. In other words, God being a spirit, can only manipulate His creation in a physical and logical way. Ill try to draw you a picture of what I’m suggesting: God always was and always will be and He is a positive spiritual force. (Here is where I may lose some of you) When God chose to make the physical universe and us human beings, He put boundaries on Himself as to how He can interact with His creation. We have been taught that God is omnipotent and that this somehow translates to mean that God can do anything in any way He pleases. Now, Im no heretic! God is definitely omnipotent, but God, as a spirit, cannot pick up a rock and throw it. He has no physical body to pick a rock up with, but If God needs a rock thrown, by all means, Hes going to make sure that rock gets thrown--but He has to have somebody to throw the rock for Him. There’s work to be done The human mind is extremely complex and although modern science has learned a great deal about life and human anatomy, I believe the human mind will always have that element of mystery which will never be explained. This is Gods domain. I believe God made a way for His children to experience Him, but the enemy, from day one of our lives, has attempted to obscure our connection with our Father. We are to find His chosen and help bring them out of the world. We do so by witnessing to them. Those He chose will hear God in their hearts, those He hasnt will go away thinking it’s all nonsense. Matthew 13:3-10; 3 Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow. 4 and as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. 5 Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. 6 But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them. 8 But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. 9 He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” As time has passed, from the first day, and carrying on to the last day of this world system as we know it, God has gradually and incrementally, revealed Himself to the world. He does so to give all the people who raised their hands in acceptance to Jesus’ sacrifice time to accept their salvation and experience their conversion into the kingdom of God. Its our great commission, to go out and find our brothers and sisters and help them find their way out of the world. ©Ron Richardson #It’s a God thing!
