Brandon came in today looking for some help with his Snatch. The first thing he said was that he had mobility issues. So after a quick assessment I ran him through a quick snatch prep drill that I learned from Ryan at Pacific Sport & Spine. Then we made some small adjustments to his feet positions and now he hits depth a lot better. Mobility is extremely necessary for the Snatch, however when working with athletes I believe in looking for the quick small fixes/adjustments that make a huge difference before giving them a laundry list of mobility drills as homework. Sometimes the answer is a lot simpler than you think, but not always.
