Bratwurst! If you had told me I would be starting my day with a brat on a roll, I would have thought you were crazy. But... Pat picks me up at 8:00, and were off to a farmers market. This is a place to get fresh bread, but he says last time they were sold out by 9:30. We get there at 8:30, and the line is over a hundred people long! You get your bread, or pastries, or even warm pizza, and then get in line to pay for it. Racks that were full at 8:00 are virtually decimated already! I gets couple of rolls and a couple other pastries for a buck or two, and then check out the rest of the place. In addition to vegetables, there are some lovely crafts, and a stand cooking bratwurst. OMG, the smell is intoxicating, and they taste even better than they smell! What a wonderful way to start the day. I offer to buy coffee if Pat knows a place, and he knows a spectacular place! Full of brats and excellent coffee, we are back to the area where I had bought Emily the carved wooden bird the other day. Pat has something he needs to check on, and I sure dont mind wandering around here at all! From kitsch to class, and everything in between, we walk around for a couple of hours, then off to lunch. Am I in the mood for Western? Best burgers and pizza in town. Indeed! Pat wants to stop at Reids place; it is very close. I had met Reid this morning at the market, and was looking forward to seeing his place. He has a house out in the suburbs, and Pat says its beautiful. And it is! Koi pond, BBQ outdoors, lovely garden, and inside two full bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, and study. Less than $400 a month! And, in a very, very nice area. Almost looks Midwest. A lot of Farang (foreigners) around. Mentioned yesterday that I had to find a new place, so Pat is taking me, dropping me off. Turns out to be very nice, in a different part of the same general area I had been in for the past five days. I think it will be all right. Took a rest, and a shower, and wandered about for a light evening snack before calling it a night. Altogether extremely pleasant day!
