Palestinian Authority Tells Kerry To Take His Plan And Shove It 18 Jul By MJ ROSENBERG The Palestinian Authority today informed Secretary of State John Kerry that it was not interested in the “peace plan” he is so eager to inflict on then. The reason: under Kerry’s (i.e,Netanyahu’s) plan, Israelis and Palestinians would have to negotiate the status of the West Bank while Israel continued to devour that same land with new settlements. There would be no “settlement” freeze. Not for a day. Palestinians would have to be nuts to accept those terms. It’s as if a buyer and a seller were negotiating over the terms of a sale. But the buyer insisted on moving in while they were bargaining, knowing that once he is in, it is his house. That is the Israeli game. Take the property, steal the water and then say “let’s talk.” The U.S. role is, of course, to drive the buyer’s moving van, unpack his furniture, and make sure the seller and his family is gone. As they say in Hebrew, kol ha kvod (all praise) to the PA for telling Kerry to shove it.
