Braydens ANC is now 244. We are hoping for zero by Monday. He has been doing really well but the last couple of days he has been whiney and crying more than usual when he has to take his meds and when we try to get him down for a nap even though we know he is tired. I could tell by the way he looked yesterday he was not feeling well. His nose was running, color was off, and we all commented on him drooling. It is hard with a three year old to know what is hurting or how they feel as it is hard for them to let you know. Terra has to give him his oral meds and his bath everyday with him screaming. She is amazing. Rules are bath everyday and sheets changed everyday. The doctors have told us what could happen because of the BMT. And we would not see anything until after a couple weeks. We are on Day 9. From Terra: He hates to take medicine but the last couple of days have been really bad and very frustrating for me (I have to give them because he wont let the nurses). Then yesterday he didnt drink a lot. I dont push drinking because of the fluid restriction but as of last night he had only drank 3.5 ounces. Then last night, I woke up to his pillow soaking wet from him drooling. Ding, ding, ding....hes having pain probably in his throat. No sores in his mouth that we can see so Im thinking throat. His medicine must be bothering his throat when he swallows. Hes still sleeping now so well see how he feels but Im imagining they will start him on pain meds. This is the part Ive been dreading. please keep him in your prayers.
