Brazil, State of Rio de Janeiro, Bartolomeu Lysandro Airport, Description: A helicopter carrying 18 Petrobras workers and contractors had to make an emergency landing at a Brazil airport after taking off from the Macae service hub Tuesday morning, a local union said. Nobody was reported injured in the incident, according to the Sindopetro union. The helicopter, operated by Lider Aviacao, took off from Macae around 10:20 am local time but had to land again at the Campos dos Goytacazes airport at around 11 am due to an apparent fuel lubricant problem. It had been headed to the Cidade de Quissama maintenance and accomodation platform in the Campos basin. Union representatives on site reported a burning smell coming from the aircraft but said the landing was successful. Workers will head back to Macae by bus for another flight, according to the union. In March three workers were rescued after another Lider helicopter ditched off Brazil in the Campos basin.rn
