Brazilian ICPC Regional- First Tier On Saturday, September 13th, we had in 41 sites all over the country the first tier of Brazilian ICPC Regional. 643 teams from 199 schools took part in the competition and only 60 teams will qualify for the Brazilian Finals, in November 7th and 8th in Fortaleza. Brazil is a huge country with large distances: for instance, from Rio Grande in the South to Macapá it is 3580 km = 2380 ml; from Porto Velho to Natal = 3200 km =2000 ml. All sites run simultaneously over 3 time zones. The problems and results are available in the contest website: maratona.ime.usp.br. The contest run also in UVA Online Judge almost simultaneously. Only one team solved all 11 problems: the team I am root from University São Paulo.
