Break the Chains Forgiveness is a powerful tool in the hands of God, but when forgiveness is blocked, it can cause you considerable discomfort-especially in the middle of the night. One way it can be blocked, is when someone who has something against you wont admit it. Their grudge can be like an invisible chain around your spirit. You feel something is wrong, but are unable to do anything about it. You cant forgive (release) them, and they cant release you, eroding your sleep. What can you do? Jesus tell us, ...if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you...First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift (Matthew 5:23, NKJV). What if they deny anything is wrong? Or what if they hardheartedly refuse to forgive or accept forgiveness? God still wants you to be at peace. He knows that these people are in bondage themselves and need deliverance, but their deliverance is His problem. Your only job is to pray for them in the Spirit to help break the chains that are imprisoning them. Right now, pray for those you need to forgive, and for those who need to forgive you.
