The assistant positions will be coming soon. ******************************************************************************* HEAD COACH POSITION SUMMER 2015 The Brookfield Breakers Swim Team, 2014 Division 12 co-champion, is seeking a Head Coach for the summer of 2015 from May 26th through August 1st. The team has approximately 160 swimmers ranging in age from 5-18. The Head Coach is responsible for managing all aspects of the swim program: overseeing the assistants, running practices, drills, and stroke mechanic clinics, seeding A meets, managing swimmers and coaching at both A & B meets, communicating effectively with the team reps, and attending certain swim team social events during the season. A full team calendar will be presented to the coach before the season starts with all events and dates noted for the season. Our intent is to find a long-term coach for the team. Requirements: • Previous head swim coaching experience preferred • Familiarity with NVSL and USA swimming rules • Ability to demonstrate and teach all strokes, turns, starts and finishes correctly • Knowledge of best practices and training techniques for successful competitive swimming • Strong communication, organization and leadership skills. • Ability and experience working with children of all ages, ability and competitive levels • Fairfax County Pool Operator license, lifeguard and CPR certification required • Background Check and USA Swimming Athlete Protection Training Compensation with be commensurate with experience.
