Use a waffle maker or heat up both sides of a waffle pan over a medium heat, brush with melted butter and pour in half a ladleful of batter. Cook for two minutes a side, until crisp and golden brown all over. Keep warm while you cook the rest and make the sauce: put 100g fresh or frozen raspberries in a pan with four tablespoons of water and two of sugar, and cook for about five minutes, until the fruit breaks down.
