The signal from the IGs office specifically directed the FCT andSokoto State commissioners of Police to serve Tambuwal with notice ofinvitation to the force headquarters and if he resists, he should be arrestedimmediately, “the source revealed. The involvement of Sokoto CP was because the Speaker was sighted inSokoto on Friday where he picked the All Progressive Congress (APC)governorship form for the coming elections. It was assumed that he was outof Abuja as such other police divisions were involved in the matter.Sources at the meeting in Villa indicate that both the Vice President and theNSA chastised the Police boss for the failure of his men to prevent Speakerfrom entering the national assembly premises. The NSA was particularly angry and told the IG in clear terms that he doesntknow his job. He said how did the Speakerand the members break a cordonorganised by the FCT Police commissioner. The NSA then made it clearthatthe Police authorities must rectify the anomalies or they will face theconsequences. The IG then said Tambuwalwill be arrested for questioning.”
