Breaking News: Dr. Dhieu Mathok applies for asylum in UK January, 31, 2014 (Addis Ababa)-Intelligent sources within SPLM-in-Opposition (SPLM-O) divulged that Dr. Dhieu Mathok defected from the rebel Movement and flew to London two days ago to seek a political asylum in United Kingdom. His decision, according to the sources within the Movement, was necessitated after Dr. Riek, Gen. Taban Deng and Mr. Hussien Mar met secretly to form an interim leadership of the Movement. It was disclosed that Mr. Hussein Mar adamantly rejected inclusion in the leadership of the Movement any member from Dinka Ethnic group where Dr. Dhieu Mathok, Rebecca Nyandeng, and Mabior Garang come from. This move angered Dr. Dhieu who thought he would be appointed as one of senior officials since he was the only PhD holder from Dinka ethnic group within SPLM-O. As I write this piece, Dr. Dhieu Mathok had already submitted his application to British Government and awaiting an official response. Stay tuned as many defections are expected within SPLM-O. S
