Breaking News: Egwu Dunu Kingdom-Court Ruling. It was yet another legal milestone for Egwu Dunu Royal Kingdom, one of the twelve Kingdoms of the defunct Achi Dynasty, when yesterday at Oju River Hight Court in Enugu State the matter was in Favour of the Kingdom and her town Union. Our correspondent learnt from one of the leading luminaries of the suit, that the matter was a victory for a good beginning for a case that has lasted three years in court without hearing. According the Spokesman for the Kingdom, Mr. Okey Onwuka, PG of the Town Union, of Egwu Dunu Kingdom, the Court sitting started at about 10:45am with all the parties present, and our legal luminary Prof, Race Achara appeared most notably courageous. According to Barr Maduakor who was also at the court yesterday, the sitting which lasted over 45min ended on the favour of Egwu Achi Town Union and the rest of us who believe in the sanity of what we are doing. There was a ruling chilling the marrows of the rebels of Egwu Dunu who have stolen the throne of the kingdom. The attorney of the state, the chieftaincy commission, and the local government had respectfully in their prayers to the court pleaded that the matter be struck off as lacking merits. Based on the fact that they, were not duly serve the three months notice in accordance with law. There prayers was not granted on one hand, rather, the judge relief them from the suit because of the fact that they were not duly served the motion of notice according to legal procedure. This was in reference to the public officers. However, the case was not struck out, the hearing is to continue and immediately between the three parties; EATU on one hand, Sir Joe Azulu, Raphael Madu, and Meniru Victor on the other hands who were duly informed. According to President General, Our contention is that Egwu have no Igwe and therefore anyone who is recognized by the government is in error of the constitution of the EgwuDunu Royal Kingdom. Everyone in Egwe well know there was never an election for Igwe and so there is no Igwe, as there was no election as stipulated by the constitution. The first hearing is to come up Nov 25th. Our correspondent at the court tried reaching Barr. Agubuozor the legal defender of Mr Victor Meniru on the stolen throne, but all effort to reach him fail at the material time.
