Breaking News; The News Leader MASHAKADA VS MAKONE IS ON Own Correspondent KWEKWE THE Midlands North MDC Province has nominated Tapiwa Mashakada for the partys position of treasurer, setting up a possible clash between him and the currently acting Theresa Makone. Mashakada has been contesting for the position of secretary general, but which appears certain to be claimed by Nelson Chamisa - who got his sixth nomination today. Other provinces have instead been nominating Mashakada for the post of deputy treasurer, with Makone having been nominated by the previous five provinces for the post of treasurer. If Mashakada decides to contest for treasurers post at their party congress, he will face a bitter challenge against Makone. Midlands North province resultantly brought a new entrant into the race for standing committe positions, as it nominated former Masvingo provincial chairperson Bernard Chiondegwa for the post of deputy treasurer. Nkulumane MP Thamsanqa Mahlangu got another boost after Midlands North nominated him for the position of deputy organising secretary, his second endorsement after Mash Easts yesterday.
