Breaking: Okorocha plans a return to PDP •PDP national headquarter in Abuja should not make a mistake – Imo PDP The saying that in politics one does not have a permanent enemy but a permanent interest is about to happen in Imo State. Gov. Rochas Okorocha who won the Imo State governorship election in 2011 under the platform of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) but switched over to All Progressive Congress (APC) midway into his tenure is scheming a return to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) again, a party he had left two times. News monitored in Owerri, the Imo State capital by Global Reporters confirmed what our impeccable source had told us that “Rochas Okorocha has secretly constituted a powerful committed to lobby his way back to PDP” by trying to convince President Jonathan that he would deliver Imo to him if “accepted back into PDP”. Since the return of all the political gladiators in Imo that left the party before the 2011 election, PDP as a party seemed solid to win back Imo if the current tempo and atmosphere in the party is maintained. Global Reporters reliably gathered that Okorocha sensing the very danger ahead is not taking anything for granted and plans to strategically position himself properly to come back to PDP, and contest the 2015 election under the party. PDP is the real opposition in Imo and APC seemed very hard to sell to the people in the southeast. In a telephone conversation with a PDP stalwart in Imo to confirm on whether Okorocha is really making moves to come back to PDP. He said PDP caucuses in Imo are not ready to welcome Okorocha back in their fold. In his own words, “Okorocha’s government is a deceit. He said he has given Imo people free education, but education is more expensive now under him than in the previous governments. Yes, it is true that Okorocha tarred some km roads, but go and see the roads, very substandard roads. One raining season everything is washed away. “The traps Okorocha opened here and there with amateur contractors and substandard China materials he called roads are there for people to see. It is not a lie or politics. The contracts were awarded to his family members, in-laws and companies, so his government cannot prosecute them or talk against the shame publicly. “Listen, Okorocha’s government is the more you look the less you see. It is a magic government, and we will not allow this to continue in 2015. He knows also that he has already lost the election even before the proper election, because of his lies and fake promises, and as such the search for cover.” “I hope that PDP national headquarter in Abuja will not make a mistake, because Okorocha has no chance in PDP in Imo State, or else PDP will continue to be an opposition party in Imo for a long time, and it will not be good for President Goodluck Jonathan’s 2015 ambition,” he concluded.
