Breaking news out of Breaux Bridge this morning. Three kids, on their walk to school this morning, were struck by a vehicle on the corner of Martin Street at Arnold Road. Details are still coming into the news room, but we have been told that two children are confirmed dead and one person is in critical condition and has been flown by Acadian Ambulance Air Med to a Baton Rouge hospital. State Police, Breaux Bridge Police and the St. Martin Parish Sheriffs Department are on the scene conducting an investigation. Reportedly, the driver of the vehicle is still at the scene and is under questioning at this time. We do not have any identifying information on the kids involved in this tragic crash or the school where they were headed. We will bring you updates as they become available.
