Breaks my heart that Laynies mouth still hurts. She does pretty good and the mouth and sores look so much better. The Carafate that we use to swish in her mouth burns and she cries. I wish I could take the pain away. On top of that she is an emotional mess, the prednisone she is in is causing mood swings and emotional outbreaks. So many people have said to me that Laynie doesnt look sick, the transplant cured her. What they dont realize and most people dont is that she takes a huge amount of medication to keep her kidney happy, and those medications have side effects. This is a LIFETIME disease and condition Laynie has to live with. The gift that Cindy gave her of a kidney, is a bandaid that keeps her off dialysis. I just want my girl happy and healthy.... No parent wants to see their child in pain.
