Breakthrough! Tonight Nicky brought Alex to the door and put on his shoes and jacket half an hour earlier than we had planned to keep him. This has never happened before. Earlier he had taken Alex upstairs and just before he did, he signed and said goodnight. I overheard it. I said to Nicky you can lay down but youre not sleeping here tonight. Ive said that many times before to help him understand the plan, not knowing if he really got it or if he was just ignoring it. His housemate had told us that they had had a great day and he was probably going to be tired. So Nicky recognized that (a) he was tired and ready to go to bed; and (b) he wasnt going to sleep at our house. He decided that it was time to go home so he could go to bed. WOW. WOW. WOW. WOW. After the winter we have had, progress was not even something we were ready for. Returning to some level of manageability, yes. But progress??? Nicky, once again you have exceeded everyones expectations and now, I get to share yet another amazing story. You are a blessed spirit to the world. I know that you are here to inspire. Thank you.
