Breakthrough this evening. Little Emily, one of the two babies that Sun, the albino, left behind when she died, is eating on her own for the first time!! I have been syringe feeding her and her brother Bramwell several times a day for the past 9 days and they have only just been holding their own despite a course of antibiotics. Hopefully now they will start to gain weight. Thanks very much to Sue Heathcote (York RSPCA) who, when I phoned this morning to see if anyone had an idea of how to get them to eat with more enthusiasm, suggested adding some special dog meat to the Esbilac to make it more tasty. And it worked!!
