July 1, 2013 Mark 16:15-18 (NIV) 15 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." These are the Words of Jesus spoken to every single believer on this earth. They were not just spoken to the apostles or any select pastor, evangelist or any other single person on this earth, they were spoken to you and I as believers in Jesus. As He says “these signs” will follow us wherever we go if we will believe and by His authority, that is what it means by saying “in His Name.” We have been given the authority of Jesus to lay hands on the sick and He promises that they will recover. He did not say to pray and ask God for anything, He said for you to do something. Jesus has given us the most powerful weapon that has ever been devised to cast out any and command all angels, both fallen and not fallen. This weapon is His authority and we need to be going throughout the whole world and being doers of the Word, not hearers only. Lay hands on the sick, cast out the demons that are causing the sickness and command the ministering angels and the body to heal giving life and healing.
