Brenda Dillonposted toMemory People™... Have any of you experienced the phenomenon of people disappearing as you deal with this disease, and being a caregiver? I am feeling more and more alone in this battle. If it wasnt for MP I dont know what I would do. My friends seem to keep vanishing. They either write off what is going on with my parents or try to make me feel quilty for the sheer quanity of time that being moms caregiver and daddys advocate takes. It makes me so mad but whatever I do or say it always turns around that I am not there for them. Yet none of them seem to get that this burden that I carry may be a burden of love it is also a time, heart, and soul consuming journey which truly has no way of ending in anything but grief, heartache, and loss. The only comfort is that eventually there will be no more pain.
