Brendan Kelly, a member of the the 13U Northeast Longhorns, has been working hard all year and reached two great milestones over the past month. Yesterday using our HitTrax baseball simulator he improved his hitting ball exit speed to 81 mph with an average of 71 mph (original numbers were 77 mph and 66 mph). Four weeks ago, his max pitching velocity increased from 69.4 mph to 73.7 mph and his average pitching velocity jumped up from 66.8 mph to 71.7 mph. Hes the first player on our very talented 13U team to break the 80 mph barrier with his hitting ball exit speed, and hes also the first player to reach 70+ mph with his pitching velocity. Brendan is a 7th grader from Hopkinton, and hes had perfect attendance for his Longhorns training sessions this off-season since the players began training twice a week back on November 1st.
