Brendan Rodgers Disappointed By Jon Flanagan’s Long Term Injury A disappointed Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Jon Flanagan is out of action for “a few months”. The 21-year-old has yet to play this season after being hampered by fluid on his left knee during the club’s pre-season tour of America. Flanagan went under surgery this week to correct the problem and he will now face months on the sideline. Rodgers said, “Young Jon Flanagan, unfortunately, has just had an operation that will probably have him out for a few months – which is disappointing.” This come as a bitter blow to Flanagan after impressive performances saw him established himself in Liverpool’s starting eleven last season.
