Brethren. Today we are looking at those that the Scriptures refer to as blessed, so that we could strive to be like them and obtain the type of rewards that are attached to them. Psalms 1vs1&3 said. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor setteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord and in His law he meditate day and night WHAT IS HIS REWARD ? Verse 3 said And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season, his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doth shall prosper. Psalms 3v11&12c said Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him. Psalms 34vs8&10. said O taste and see that the Lord is good., blessed is the man that trusted in Him. THE REWARD. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger : but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. Psalms 32vs1&2. Said. Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. Psalms 40v4 said. Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. And. Jeremiah 17vs7-8 said. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord and whose hope the Lord is THE REWARD. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and shall spread out her roots by the river , and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green, and shall not be careful in the year of drought ,neither shall cease from yielding fruits. THEN. Psalms 41 v1. Said. Blessed is he that considereth the poor HIS REWARD? The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive and he shall be blessed upon the earth and thou will not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing, thou will make all his bed in his sickness. AND Psalms 84vs11-12 said. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee. THE REWARD. For the Lord God is a sun and a shield:the Lord will give grace and glory, no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly. Psalms 94v12-13 said. Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, o Lord, and teachest him out of thy law. THE REWARD? That thou mayest give him rest from the day of adversity, untill the pit be digged for the wicked. Psalms 106v3 said. Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times. St Matthew 5v3 said. Blessed are the poor in spirit, THE REWARD? For theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. St . Matthew 11v6 said that blessed is whosoever shall not be offended in the Lord Jesus Christ. AND St. Matthew 24vs45-47 said that a faithful servant whom his Lord hath made ruler over his house hold, to give them meat in due season. Blessed is that servant, whom his Lord when he cometh shall find so doing. THE REWARD? Verily I say unto you, that he shall make him ruler over all his goods WE CHILDREN OF GOD OUR FATHER ALMIGHTY OVER TO US .Feed my Sheep, feed my Lambs the Lord said to us. St. Luke 12v37 said. Blessed are those servants whom the Lord when He cometh shall find watching, THEIR REWARD ? Verily I say unto you, that He shall gird Himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. St. John 20v29 said . Jesus said unto him, Thomas because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed. Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed THE REWARD OF BELIEVING WITH OUT SEEING? Verse 31 said But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name. Acts 20v35 said. I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how He said , it is more blessed to give than to receive. Galatians 3vs9&26 said. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. For ye are all children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. THE REWARD? And if ye be Christs , then are ye Abrahams seed and heirs according to the promise. V29. THEN. James 1v12 said Blessed is the man that endureth temptation, The Reward ? For when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him. Revelation 1v3. also said that blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of the prophecy in the book of Revelation and keep those things which are written therein:for the time is at hand. Concluding, Revelation 14v13 said And I heard a voice from Heaven saying unto me, write, blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth, yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours, and their works do follow them. Brethren, if we want to be blessed, we must strive to be and to do as these people referred to in the above quotes and even more. May our Father God Almighty give us the grace to do His will and obtain His blessings unto the end in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord amen.
