Brevard County Parks & Rec. to host NFL Punt, Pass & Kick Competition MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. – Central Area Parks Operations partners with Merritt Island Pop Warner to host local Punt, Pass & Kick competition Aug. 9 at Jefferson Middle School, 1275 S Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island. Young pro football fans will have the opportunity to exhibit their football skills during the competition. On site check-in will begin at 9 a.m. with the first event starting at 10 a.m. The competition is free and has separate divisions for boys and girls ages 6-15. Participants are encouraged to register in advance for the event at nflppk. On-site registration will also be available. All participants must show proof of age, with the age eligibility period extended through Dec. 31. The top finishers from each of 10 age groups at the local competition will advance to a sectional competition. The winners at the sectional competition will have their scores compared with other sectional champions. The top 4 scorers from the pool of sectional champions advance to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Team Championship. Complete rules and registration can be found at nflppk.
